Amateur Bake-Off

Welcome to the Amateur Bake Off at the Library! We’re thrilled to have you participate in this fun and delicious event. Below are the rules and instructions to ensure a fair and enjoyable competition for all participants:

1. Eligibility:

• The competition is open to amateur bakers of all ages.
• Participants must register in advance to secure a spot in the competition.

2. Entry Requirements:

• Participants may submit one baked item.
• All baked goods must be homemade. No store-bought items are allowed.

3. Presentation:

• Baked goods should be presented on a disposable or non-returnable platter or tray.
• Participants are encouraged to include a label or tag with the name of the baked item and any relevant allergen information.

4. Judging:

• Judging criteria will include taste, presentation and, creativity.
• Judges’ decisions are final.

5. Tasting and Voting:

• After judging, attendees will have the opportunity to taste the baked goods and vote for their favorite entry for the “People’s Choice” award.

6. Prizes:

• Prizes will be awarded for categories:  Best Taste, Best Presentation, Most Creative, and People’s Choice.

7. Clean-Up:

• Participants are responsible for helping clean up after the event.

8. Have Fun:

• Most importantly, have fun and enjoy the experience of sharing your baked creations with others!
